Customer issues with their current void filler loose fill

We were approached by a potential new customer who manufactures China and Glassware for retail outlets and for their .com company who dispatch products as well to the general public. They were having trouble with their deliveries in many ways and after discussing the various issues with the customer a list was created below in order of importance that had to be solved.

1. 11% returns due to breakages/damages by the end of 2006.
2. Cost reductions. Total spend in 2006 was £26,000 on loose fill.
3. Customer complaints about the mess created after opening the deliveries at the retail outlets and in some of the homes of the general public.
4. Mess and dust created when packing their products for delivery.
5. Space required, too store the bags of loose fill in the factory. 

Fromm airpad void fillers solution to the customers problems

We placed on trial our AP502 Airpad machine at the customer’s premises along with a 45 micron recycled Airpad film. After extensive trials and training we were able to offer the following answers to our potential new customer’s problems.

1. We cut the breakages/damages by the end of 2007 to just 3% returns.
2. Reduced their spend on the Airpad void filler to £22,690 in 2007 even though their sales were 11% higher in 2007 compared to 2006.
3. Customer complaints on mess when opening the deliveries went away overnight.
4. There was no mess or dust created by the Airpad Void fill so allowing their employees to work in a cleaner environment.
5. Due to the machine being able to supply on demand there was no need to store film product to the same extent as the bags of loose fill, therefore allowing this valuable floor space to be used to other benefits for the customer.

Conclusion

Our new customer, not only found answers to their entire void fill problems, but was able to save significant amounts of money as well. Since we were able to provide a full and rewarding solution to our customer they have since recommended us to other companies within their group and in one case a new trial with our Airpad product has commenced.
