FROMM is one of the world’s largest recyclers of Polyester bottle flake which is supplied to our manufacturing plants to create Polyester strapping. Our factories are therefore able to guarantee not only a good quality of raw material but a continuity of supply. FROMM strives to offer enduring, ingenious and independent solutions to the world market place and all from a single supplier.

The recycling process carefully reduces the Polyester bottles into their individual components, Polyester from the bottles, Polypropylene from the bottle caps and paper from the labels. We then use the high grade polyester flakes in two ways. One way is in the manufacturing process to create our Polyester strapping products and the second way is in the production of new polyester bottles. The left over polypropylene is then used to create a magnitude of plastic components by various other manufacturers and the paper is recycled back into the production of new paper products. The commitment to this process cements the FROMM Group environmental statement for the future well being on all environmental issues in our manufacturing processes.

In our production plants we use the very latest extrusion process technologies to produce high quality and high performance polyester strapping. Thanks to the outstanding properties of the strap by way of its constant strap tension and supreme shock-absorption capabilities, we have been able to replace many thousands of tons of steel strapping. The Polyester strapping has enabled our customers to produce major cost savings and helped to address health and safety areas with regards to the use of steel strapping within their packaging processes.
